A Stolen Life

One of my favorite movies is "A Stolen Life" with Bette Davis. She has a twin sister that always has everything.......even the man.......when Katie (the nice sister) meets Glenn Ford (I forgot his name in the movie).......she is awe struck.......when her sister Pat (the selfish evil one) gets to meet him well he is taken by her, thus leaving Katie left alone. They marry and what Katie did not know was that her sister Pat was cheating on Glenn Ford the entire marriage and that she had left him. When the sisters got together again, Katie still did not know. A storm came up and Pat (the evil twin) drowned.......Katie did all she could to save her. When Katie woke up in a home everyone thought she was Pat.....so Katie lived the life of Pat so she could be with Glenn Ford and then finding out that Pat was a horrible wife and had an affair on Glenn Ford........she had to confess she was not Pat and he knew by the time she told him. The story ended with them getting back together.

The title of the movie gave me much thought. A Stolen Life.........that is what satan does to us.....he steals the life God has planned for us. He comes in so calm and cool and shows us things that look like what we have prayed for and what we want with us having a great chance to have our dreams come true......and he puts a twist on the temptation. He causes a story line to look really great when all along evil is waiting in the end. HE STEALS our life but ONLY WE can let him. satans only goal in life is to kill,steal, and to destroy us..........If you have not talked to JESUS lately.......take some time today to visit him and get to know him.....if you have not asked JESUS to be your personal savior I hope you will take a look at Romans 10:8-13 and ask JESUS into your heart and start a new story in your life of purity and love and serving JESUS. It is time to stop satan from destroying your life. Victoria

Fall is here! Great time to organize for the holidays.

Did You Know?

Drinking fruit juices can wear down enamel really bad on our teeth? The erosion increases odds of getting cavities. Use a straw to drink you juices and then I recommend to rinse your mouth out with water to bring your mouth to neutral. Drinking from a straw can cause wrinkles around your mouth like smoking so be careful how you slurp the straw....I try and use my teeth and not my lips when using a straw.

Since we are on the computers so much.....and we don't blink as much while on the computers........rest your eyes throughout the day.

Eat fruit and veggies every day I have to start this again.

To cut down on debt.........get a credit card with a limit of $200 and pay off each month. If you can't pay off the purchases each money.....don't charge. Debt cards are not protected like credit cards.

If you want to refresh a blouse or top with buttons or your jacket from several years.........buy beautiful buttons and give your blouse a fresh look. I used to do this all the time. When I visited California, I would buy buttons and a fabulous button shop and when I returned home I would start replacing the buttons.........I like the button to match the shirt. Once I took my pink blouse that had white buttons on it and changed out all the buttons to black because I always wore that top with black slacks.......I also love the french cuff on ladies blouses too. That jacket with new bold buttons will turn a so so jacket into a sensational jacket for little cost.

Take Time For JESUS

We are always praying for our needs and I thank him all the time. Start a day maybe more that you spend that time PRAISING HIM for all he has done. The water, the birds, the trees, etc. I do this all the time but for those that don't I pray you choose a day to just all day long praise JESUS CHRIST. The Great I AM. He deserves more than us always asking which he wants us to do but Praising HIM.......is wonderful for him. He is lonely for more of our love for him.

Milk Jugs
1. Cut them into strips to make plant markers.
2. Use them as collars to keep cutworms from destroying young plants.
3. Make a simple watering can. Just cut a small hole in one bottom corner and set it next to a
plant. The water slowly seeps out.
4. Cut a hole in the side and make it a bird feeder.
5. Slide it over your bird feeder pole as a squirrel baffle.
6. Cut off the bottom and one side up to the handle for a scoop for birdseed or potting soil.

Blue Jays love unsalted peanuts, shell and all. Buy in bulk for money savings. They will flock to your feeders.

Don't discard your old scarves.....wrap them around your pots and containers for an added flair. This works on indoor pots.......I would also use material to decorate my pots. I am going to have to do that on two of my indoor planters.

It Is Tip Time Again {Woman's World Magazine}

*Kansas State University study states that a pinch of cinnamon will zap 99% of stomach-flu triggers like E. coli or salmonella. Cinnamon's active ingredients--eugena and cinnamaldehydes are what does the trick. Add at least 1/2 teaspoon to food daily.

*A natural antacid in apples relives heartburn and discomfort.

*My tip: Save all of your change for a year. If you must have it then for at least 6 mnths....even is something costs $1.02 give them $2 and keep the change. I was doing this before Bank America started it.

*Start looking now for Christmas gifts. My favorite places online are www.100percentpure.com,
www.cooksvanilla.com, their Vanilla Powder is sensational....www.carolsrosegarden.com. The 100% Pure bars of pure soap are huge and they are only $6 a bar and I cut them lengthwise and I can use the bar for two months. That is only $3 a month and it is pure. You can find them in the shower gels page. Regular soap leaves film on our bodies. yuck.

*On a cool night make homemade chili.

*Start looking for sensational soup recipes for fall and winter and stock up each time you go to the market.

*Refrigerator odors? Place slices of stale bread {this will absorb odors} on the shelves and drawers and let it sit overnight. In the morning toss out the bread. This is a great tip and may be better than Baking Soda.........no but this will work in a pinch.

*Musty mildew? Leave a pile of charcoal criquettes {not the fast lighting kind} in a bowl overnight in your kitchen. The charcoal neutralizes scents and eliminates moisture, leaving your kitchen fresh. I guess this would work in an old closet too.

*Natural fresh herbs will also act as a natural deodorizer.

*Add vinegar to your rinse cycle while rinsing your new jeans, use half a cup and the acid helps set the indigo dyes. I do this with black clothing too.

Caramel Apple S'Mores

12 graham crackers, broken in half {24 squares}
marshmallows {(I wonder if the coconut marshmallows would be good?}
2 Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced
Caramel topping

*Preheat oven to 450 degrees. *Line baking sheet with parchment paper. *Place 12 graham cracker squares on prepared pan. *Place one marshmallow on center of each graham cracker. *Bake for 5 minutes, or until marshmallow is melted and lightly browned. *Top with apple slices, caramel topping, and remaining graham cracker squares. ENJOY

Honeyed Nectarines

4 nectarines, but into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 cup honey

*In medium sauce pan, combine nectarines and honey. *Cook over low heat for 2 minutes until honey dissovles. *Increase to meddium heat and continue cooking additional 4 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature. Would be nice over vanilla ice cream. {Southernlady Sept/Oct 2005}


Mascarpone Cheese Topping: Great with muffins
1 {8-ounce} package of mascarpone cheese, softened, you can use cream cheese
1/4 cup of powdered sugar
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

*In a small bowl, beat cheese, sugar and vanilla extract until smooth. *Store unused topping in refrigerator. Makes 1 cup.

Sugared Pears

2 tablespoons butter
3 pears, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest

*In a medium sauce pan, melt butter. *Add pears, sugar, and lemon zest. *Cook over medium heat 5-7 minutes or until desired tenderness. *Serve warm or at room temperature. {Southernlady September/October 2005}

Truffles

TrufflesIngredients:
1 Bag semi sweet chocolate chips3/4 Cup condensed sweetened milk1 Tbsp. shortening1/2 Tsp. Cook's Choice Pure Vanilla Extract1/2 Tsp. Cook's Pure Red Raspberry Extract
Coating:6oz-12oz milk chocolate chips6oz white or dark chocolate, meltedChopped nutsCocoa Powder
Preparation:Melt the chocolate chips in a glass bowl over an inch of boiling water (or in a microwave safe bowl on 70% for one minute). Once smooth add the milk, raspberry extract, and vanilla. Cover and chill for 45 minutes. Scoop about small spoon fulls and roll to form round balls. Place on cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Refrigerate for 1-2 hours. Coat in melted milk chocolate, cocoa powder, or nuts (or any combo you prefer!). You can melt the white chocolate and add a drop or two of red food coloring to make it pink and drizzle over the truffles.

Decorating For Fall

*You can use pumpkins as centerpieces. Cut out the top of the pumpkin and remove seeds.......use the top for flowers.........use fall colors. Works great with mini pumpkins too.

*Votives everywhere........you can also do a tray of all white votives or pumpkin color........candles and more candles. Place on mirrors are really pretty too.

Take all of your vases and arrange with fall flowers and sticks.......anything to create outdoors inside.

You can take tall vases in tin and put fall flowers along with pumpkins that are mini and mini gourds with votives around, colored corn.......really looks pretty in the middle of a table.

*Refresh your silk wreath........Hobby Lobby should have some sales with flowers right now for fall.

*Paint miniature pumpkins. Make sure your fresh mini pumpkins are clean and dry. Paint with iridescent colors and then after they are dry place matching ribbon on the stalk. This will look so pretty on a tray on your coffee table or dinner table.

*Start watching for the leaves to turn........

*Use colorful pillar candles in all shapes and sizes (100% Soy is best). Arrange in cozy clusters. Use colors of fall.

*Cut the top off apples and use for flowers.....this way each guest or family member can take home a pretty arrangement.

*Use a clear vase that is square or what you have on hand and place apples in the vase, pour water up to the top and add fall flowers. This can go with your apple flower at each place setting.

*A bowl of pretty pairs and ribbons.

Sour Cream Pound Cake

3 CUPS flour, sifted
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
salt to taste
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3 cups sugar
1 cup sour cream at room temperature
6 eggs at room temperature
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

*Sift the flour, baking soda, and salt together. *Cream the butter in a large mixing bowl until light.*Add the sugar gradually,beating constantly until fluffy. *Beat in two of the eggs, one at a time. *Add the sour cream and mix well. *Beat in the remaining eggs (4), one at a time. *Add dry ingredients gradually, beating constantly until well mixed after each addition. *Add the flavorings. *Spoon into a greased and floured tube pan. *Bake at 325 degrees for 1 1/2 hours. *Cool in the pan for 10 minutes. *Remove to a wire rack and cool completely. Strawberry Lemon Punch

4 {10 ounce} packages frozen sliced strawberries in syrup, thawed and pureed.
1 {12 ounce} can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed.
1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
1 {2-liter} bottle of lemon-lime-flavored carbonated beverage, chilled.
Garnish: fresh strawberries, lemon slices. {be sure to clean the lemon so no bacteria gets in the punch}.

In a 1-gallon pitcher, combine strawberry puree, lemonade concentrate, and lemon juice. TO SERVE, add lemon-lime-flavored beverage and stir gently. Garnish with fresh strawberries and lemon slices, if desired. Makes one gallon. {SouthernLady Magazine March/April 2009}

Garlic Roasted Fingerling Potatoes

This delicious recipe is from SouthernLady Magazine March/April 2009

1/4 cup olive oil
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
1 1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 pounds small fingerling potaotes, halved lengthwise

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Line a large shallow roasting pan with aluminum foil. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, parsley, salt, garlic powder, and pepper, whisking to combine well. Add potatoes, tossing to coat. Arrange potatoes in an even layer in prepared pan. Bake for 1 hour, or until potatoes are lightly browned and tender, stiring occasionally. 8-10 servings. ENJOY

Maybe GOD instructs us to go one way, but we are determined to go another. The result is frustration and brokenness. Sometimes, brokenness comes not because we have done anything wrong, but because GOD wants to test and strengthen our faith. Brokenness has a way of revealing our level of faith better than anything else. When it continues over months and even years, we truly learn where the focus of our faith lies. A WEEK WITHOUT PRAYER MAKES ONE WEAK

Gourmet Garden Tomato Salad

1 1/2 pounds of red, yellow, and or orange tomatoes, cut into 1/4 inch slices.
1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup of balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
1/3 cup fresh Basil leaves thinly sliced

Place sliced tomatoes onto a serving platter.....take a glass jar with a tight lid and place your oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, sugar and shake until disolved. Drizzle over your tomatoes, and add Feta cheese and Basil leaves. Enjoy {From Ms. Kibler} Serves 6.

Teachings of Pastor Michael Youssef

I am careful who I listen to when they preach the word of God. I want a full gospel preacher. I used to get Dr. Youssef's monthly magazine back in 2003 and 2004. I did not save all of them, if I did I can't find them. But I do have about 5 issues that mean alot to me. I am going to make notes on my blog because I am going to send them to someone that is really in need of hearing the word of God. I hope you enjoy his teaching. I am not going to copy all that I have, it would take months and months. I feel confident if you google him you will find LEADING THE WAY with Dr. Michael Youssef. All of these writings is from his monthly magazine back in 2003.

No Shortcuts! There are no shortcuts around the will of God. There are no shortcuts in Heaven. No quick way around the frustrations and disappointments of life. If we want to live godly lives in an ungodly world, we must be willing to follow God's plan. This means saying NO to temptation and sin---the very things that can lead us on a detour away from God's will and blessing. Go back to the way you came {1 Kings 19:15}. Get back to do what GOD has called you to do. If you feel as though you have taken a wrong turn or that you have decided to take a shortcut around the WILL OF GOD------STOP! There are no shortcuts. Get back on the sure path that leads to hope and truth, which is the one that is closest to the heart of GOD. When you submit your life to HIM, you find eternal blessing through HIS wondrous grace and mercy.

The signatures of sin and evil are all around us. There has to be something more----an anchor to our souls----someone who can show us how to keep the course of our lives steady and set so that we are sailing in the right direction. That person is JESUS CHRIST. He is our only salvation from sin---the anchor of our souls {Hebrews 6:19} that holds firm, especially when the storms of life threaten and when the enemy's temptations blow hard against us.

Living a godly life in an ungodly world is realizing that we do not belong to ourselves. As believers, we belong to JESUS CHRIST. Take sin's threat seriously. Here is where we can begin to live a GODLY life. HAVE A HEART-FOCUS THAT IS SET ON JESUS CHRIST. We can't learn to live GODLY lives unless we follow the instruction manual that GOD has given us and this is HIS WORD--THE HOLY BIBLE. REFUSE TO GET CAUGHT UP IN BUSYWORK AND BELIEVE THAT WE ARE PLEASING GOD. Immorality can steal and rob us of a beautiful relationship with the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

BE WILLING TO INVEST IN YOUR SPIRITUAL FUTURE. There is only one way to win the war that is building against us and that is through faith in JESUS CHRIST---Faith that does not shift.

BE SUBMISSIVE TO THE AUTHORITY THAT GOD HAS PLACED OVER YOU. If we can obey the laws of the land we will have trouble obeying God and living our lives for him. Rebellion only leads to disappointment, sorrow, and failure. GOD has a better plan for our life for those that say YES to HIM. If you are struggling against GOD's will and plan for your life, STOP. Deaths in Hollywood--What is hell like?

In the last few days the world has heard of three deaths of stars in Hollywood. So sad.....they won't be coming back.....I don't know where they were in their lives with Jesus.......but every time someone dies I think about where they could be. It is not for me to judge but I wonder if they ever accepted Jesus on their death bed or before. No matter what the stars did...or anyone does....it is sad when they leave the earth.......Where was their heart? Did they know JESUS? Did they ever accept Jesus into their hearts. I don't know and I can't judge but it reminds me life is so short and like God says.......Our lives are just a vapor. What we do and leave behind can make a mark on someone else. When I think of death.......for Christians it is such joy....they have left earth and gone to Heaven and they are with JESUS CHRIST. If I know someone is not saved by JESUS CHRIST.....and they die......my heart is so broken. The bible tells us what they will suffer forever and forever. I still read this tract.......I don't ever want to loose my focus on JESUS CHRIST.

YOUR FIRST 6 DAYS IN HELL
This will not be a vacation and you don't need to pack any luggage. DAY 1, This starts at the gate of death: The journey is only one way.....no coming back. As you pass through the door of death you will notice quickly that you are leaving light as you know it. You are entering utter darkness........the intensity of the darkness is matched only by the absence of any joyful sounds.....no music, no laughter, no sounds of merriment..as you move farther, faint sounds of moaning and wailing become detectable. These sounds are coming through the darkness from every angle. You see a quick light, like a flame, yet the clouds are so thick of smoke, black smoke. You find yourself so obsessed to know the day and hour and time. It already feels like you have been here forever.

DAY 2, Darkness is stifling.....you yell and plea.....but to no avail. You have tremendous fear.....you have never known this much fear.....Your eyes are trying to adjust the heat is unbearable. Hot, searing, intolerable heat. You crave water.....there is none. The air is thick, choking, miserable and its just day 2.

Day 3 , You have not slept one minute. You can't believe you are here. Where are the friends you thougt you would see? You are going to be alone in this horrible place forever...no end. Where is the fun you thought you would have in hell? You stumble upon a group of others. You pour out a litany of questions. As they open their mouths, no word come out only the sounds of weeping and wailing and nashing of teeth. You smell the sulfer smell.

DAY 4, How you wish you could send a message to those you love and let them know they don't want to come to this place. You want to warn them about this place but you can't. YOU CAN'T help but look back upon the day when you made your decision to come here. When you did not accept JESUS as your personal Savior. You were told or read that your rejection of JESUS CHRIST meant that you would spend eternity in hell, but it didn't seem real or important then. Looking back you think about how foolish you were to reject God's offer of salvation. You wish you could choose again.

DAY 5, You have become acutely aware of the absence of any good in this place. There is nothing sacred, nothing HOLY, nothing of GOD anywhere to be found. You are amazed at how evil evil can be. For the first time since your arrival you begin sense the great gulf that is fixed between where you are and where God is; others you know that loved JESUS and served him in Heaven and you can see them........they do not know you did not make it to Heaven...no tears in Heaven. You can see what you missed by rejecting Jesus Christ.

DAY 6, Through the darkness you saw a new face today. A new arrival. He stopped to speak to you. You could see the terror in his eyes. He asked questions that you had been asking only days before. You opened your mouth to reply, but all that could come out of your mouth was weaping and wailing.

All people in hell will have their own personal demons that give you constant torment. Your addictions on earth will still be with you in Hell.

If you are reading this....you still have a chance to be saved.......Ask JEUS into your heart. Here is an example: Dear God, I want to never experience the hell I just read about. I believe you died on the cross for my sins. I believe you rose from the dead on the third day........ I believe in the Father, Son and Holy Ghost. I know you died for my sins. I confess all of my sinful thoughts and actions (you can name them if you like) I don't want to live in sin anymore but to serve YOU. I am so sorry for all that I have done wrong. Please forgive me. I want to serve you and have wisdom from you. I want to walk with you JESUS.........please save me now so I will live with you in Heaven forever. Thank you IN JESUS NAME AMEN.

Just talk to JESUS he loves you and is waiting to come into your heart and forgive you and all you need to do is ask him. Get into a good bible based church and read the word and don't not let satan tell you lies that you have done to much to long and can't be forgiven. JESUS LOVES YOU as will forgive you. We will still sin but we are forgiven by asking JESUS CHRIST TO FORGIVE US and try not to sin again. He knows we live in a fallen world and will be faced with temptations of the Evil one satan........and his demons.......but we are born again, saved and we are protected.......SEE PSALM 91.........We are God's children now and he loves us........and will take care of us if we trust in him. When satan comes and attacks you for living for JESUS.......bind in outloud to the pits of hell where he and his demons belong and will be going.........IN JESUS NAME, Satan I bind you and your demons to the pits of hell and you are to flee from me, my family my etc NOW IN JESUS NAME. They have to go its a command used in JESUS name. Satan and his demons are not afraid of GOD........and they know the bible word for word and that is why they try and confuse us but confusion is NOT FROM GOD. Jesus is gentle he leads....satan pushes and pushes and pushes us..........I pray that everyone that reads this writing will live for JESUS first by accepting him as your Savior. There will always be trouble in the world.......we live in a fallen earth........but Victory is here and Life better than we will ever know it is with JESUS and Heaven.

WAIT ON THE LORD

"Wait on the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord".~~Psalm 27:14

This is a very important verse in the bible and yet some people take this so lightly. We worry, fuss and have panic moods..some panic attacks and this takes from our day that we should have Joy in if we are saved by Jesus Christ. Take heart........Jesus does hear our prayers and he will answer them. His answer may be no but let me share with you a story of faith. Even if God's answer is no, like mine has been for many many years, I know and believe that JESUS will withold no GOOD thing from me. To me that means my good is coming.

Two ladies I go to church with needed cars really bad. I have been praying for both of them. A few months ago one lady was given a car by one of our single men.......it is an older car but running really good and this will get her around. We were all helping her get around at times. I started praying for her a car last year around fall.........of course others were praying too and JESUS delivered her car. a few months ago. ANSWERED PRAYER..SHE HAD A NEED. We don't have transportation in our town to get people where they need to be on time. They also don't plan on giving us more than the little bus that really goes in a circle. So living here a car is necessary.

Another lady I know has needed a better car for years and her 1990 car needed so much work it would have been impossible on her government check to have the money to fix that car.........she had been praying for years and I have been praying with her for the last 5 years........I know that seems like a long time but it is not a long time for JESUS.........she would sometimes get discouraged but always always knew that Jesus was going to give her a car.......and he did a few weeks ago. She came home on a Saturday, her daughter had to take her places, and in her drive way was a 1994 Mint Condition Black Camery..one owner.....People in our church along with her family and friends have been praying.........she gets out in shock and then there is a note on the car that says....."I have your keys, call me"........she was so excited and started praising JESUS.....she called the number and the man from our church brought over the keys........she has no idea who gave this car to her and as for me I would not want to know because I would feel I owed that person something for the rest of my life.......this is the perfect example of the scripture "don't let your right hand know what your left hand is doing"........the car was given from the heart.......they did not want her to know who they were. This way she can really enjoy the car.......JESUS does answer prayer. My friends waited a long time and the last lady I told you about has wanted a nice car for 10 years or so.........when we don't get a quick answer from JESUS we think he has not heard us but he has and our blessings come in his perfect time. Maybe her faith grew a lot stronger while waiting.......look at the testimony she has on WAIT AND BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD.....and all the glory will be given to JESUS. For those discouraged in waiting, I pray that these two examples will give you more hope, more strength, more closeness to JESUS and know that if you serve him he will bless you and he does fullfill your/our needs.....GOD IS ALWAYS ON TIME. KEEP THE FAITH in your prayers........stand strong on the word. JESUS HEARS YOU. HE also records your tears as he tells us in Psalm 56:8. Also remember "I WILL LIE DOWN AND SLEEP IN PEACE, FOR YOU ALONE, O LORD, MAKE ME DWELL IN SAFETY"~~Psalm 8. Now, raise those arms to the sky and thank JESUS for your prayer request that is coming to you answered.

Friday's Tips

***Use coffee filter grinds to scrub dish pans.
***Trade coupons with friends.
***Exfoliate your body using sugar...........I would use almond oil with sugar mix and use.
***Use clear mascara for brows to hold.
***Use your carboard from the paper towel and push store plastic grocery bags inside and place under your car seat for when you need to discard rubbish in your car.
***Use WD40 for soap scum and stains off your glass shower. (I have not tried this).
***Use coffee filters for polishing shoes.
***Use coffee filters to seperate dishes.
***Use coffee filtersto cover food while cooking in microwave. ALWAYS USE THE BROWN COFFEE FILTERS..........the white ones have bleach in them.........best tasting coffee use the brown coffee filters for no bitter taste.

We are always going to have trouble on this sinful earth........how wonderful that JESUS paid the price for us....all we need to do is accept him (Romas 10:8-13)...and he did not charge us anything.......he died because he loved us..........can we really understand that kind of love? I can't........but I know it is true. I have never been loved or felt love like the Love JESUS gives. Like Pastor Hagin said, "The more you think about the problem instead of the PROBLEM SOLVER, the weaker your faith becomes".

Jesus always stands waiting for you. JESUS told me back in July 2004, "I will carry you through the storm and the waves will but push you to me, Victoria to the desired port. JESUS told me that one day.........and I will never forget it! He also told me Compass and chart that I don't need........he will take me.........and he will do the same for you too. Go to JESUS........before you call your girlfriend or family member call on JESUS first. So, when you fill pressured, go to the MORNING STAR, he is waiting for you.

Take all of your sponges that are synthetic and clean on a regular basis. They grow bacteria and they start to smell........you don't have to throw them away just fill your sink with water and add a cup of bleach and soak them. All You Magazine

Make the rule in your home that shoes are left at the door..........don't allow people to walk their nasty bottom shoes on your carpets and they bring in more bacteria than a toilet set! YES. It will also keep the wear and tear down and your carpets will last much longer. I am trying to get my guests to do this but they act offended. I pray that I can move to a nice place within the next two years.....I love my place but it needs painting and carpet and when I do move NO ONE will wear shoes in my home. If people are coming to your home they should respect what you request.

I wash my clothes in cold water..........and hang to dry.....unless I don't care if it shrinks. This will keep color from fading in my opinion and keep the shrinking.

Coffee May Not Be Bad For You

American Journal of Epidemiology said that drinking coffee each day can lower risk of oral, esophageal and back of the throat cancer. So if you drink coffee daily you have a 49% lower risk of the above cancers. Don't take my word ask your doctor! I had a friend that died in her 40's of esophageal cancer and it hit her really fast........she never dranked coffee but sodas.

If you place clothes in a plastic dry cleaning bag or a clothing bag from the store.....take them out now. The fumes that are trapped inside can fade colors and your white shirts will turn yellow.

Notes From Pastor Matt's Sermon

I just love our pastor. He teaches the word.......the full gospel which is what I believe in. I believe the Holy Bible is the same yesterday, today and forver as our Lord tells us. So to me that means even the Old Testiment is still true today. Here are some notes I wrote in the last few weeks of his preaching.

"There are things we are going to have to face in our life that are bad, no way around it", Pastor Matt. JESUS is our Lord and Savior.....take those bad things to him....the pain and trial will be less with him than with the world. Victoria

"God has no shortages", Pastor Matt. Even in rough times, loss of jobs, cutbacks, food going sky high, gasoline getting so high again.......fear of utility bills, and the list goes on.........Keep in your mind that GOD OWNS EVERYTHING........others may claim it but GOD is the owner of ALL. There are no shortages.........Our savior takes care of us.........he paves a way before us. He knows our tomorrows.........if we are saved (Romans 10:8-13) he provides for us and even when I was not living in his will........JESUS still took care of me. We have GOD in the world.........when the Rapture comes.........there will be no sign of GOD at all.......man will have trouble living second by second and it is going to be horrible. So when things seem like that are running out...GOD loves you and he provides. IF WE COULD COMPREHEND HOW BIG GOD IS.........we would never worry. Psalm 23.......the Lord is my shepherd, I SHALL NOT WANT. All God owns is available to us if its by his word. Even more than we can imagine.....God still has more to give and I love where Jesus tells us I WILL NOT KEEP ONE GOOD THING FROM YOU. WHAT A WONDERFUL PROMISE!!!

God is our all consuming fire and he is ours forever........Jesus will Stand. Pastor Matt says "We can't starve ourselves spiritually and survive". We have to turn to JESUS and read the word, The Holy Bible, our guide to pleasing JESUS and living our life. Pastor Matt says, "God is already working on my tomorrow". Do not live for tomorrow as the Holy Bible tells us. God gave us this word to help us. WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY when we can forget tomorrow and think about today only. I am praying that for myself. WHAT PEACE I will have when I think nothing of tomorrow. SO much stress will be gone in my life and I will tell you that I am doing really good about TODAY........ONLY TODAY!

Fashion Tip

You can wear just clear polish on your toenails.........make sure they are in great condition....for me, I just have to paint my toenails.

My goodness, time gets away from us so fast. I can't believe it has been over 11 days since I have posted. I will be posting each day this week for sure. I was in physical therapy last Friday.......I hate exercise.......I never had to exercise, I thought, when I was very thin........I am still thin to some and with myself I am happy about my weight.........EXERCISE is a must to live healthy. It can stop disease, many of them.......I want to make exercise fun........I have always wanted to love to exercise, I just don't like it but I am working hard to make myself exercise at leasat 3 times per week and I need to walk daily........so please, even if you don't like to exercise, start today and make effort to go throughout the week.

I hope that you will take some time soon and write a letter to someone you really care about. Someone that is widowed, lonely, in a hospital or at home alone.......or just at home. White Roses Last The Longest--Buy Yourself Some Today

Dessert in Glass

1 package {3 oz} jello strawberry flavor gelatin
1 cup orange sherbet
whipped topping {in a can}

Add 1 cup boiling water to gelatin mix in medium bowl; stir 2 minutes until completely dissolved.
Stir in sherbet until melted. Pour into 4 large glasses could be martini or wine glasses, just a pretty glass.

Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm. Top each with whipped topping just before serving.

Quick Snack Or Party

In a seving tray add fresh cleaned strawberries with the stem.........on one side then add Oreo Cookies on the other side and serve with whipped topping in the middle of the dish. This is a sweet treat so use the whipped topping in the carton and freeze your bowl and beaters.

Frosty Orange Cream

2 cups orange sherbet or sorbet, softened
1 package {8oz} cream cheese
1/2 cup orange juice
1 can {14 oz} sweetened condensed milk
1 {8 oz} cool whip topping, thawed

Line 9x5 loaf pan with foil. Spread sherbet onto bottom of prepared pan to form even layer. FREEZE 10-minutes.

Meanwhile: beat cream cheese in a large bowl with mixer until creamy. Gradually add condensed milk and juice, beating until blended. Gently stir in Whipping Topping. Pour over sherbet in pan.

FREEZE 3 hours...to unmold, invert pan onto plate; remove foil.....Enjoy

Watermelon Salad

In a small saucepan, mix 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar and 1 tablespoon honey; simmer and reduce heat until syrupy, 5 to 7 minutes. Let cool. Toss 4 cups seeded and cubed watermelon with arugula leaves; drizzle with vinegar reduction and 1/4 cup olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Top with 1 cup of crumbled feta cheese. Life

Yesterday I went to the ER with a horrible headache. I had hit my head really hard Saturday. The back of my head.......getting into my car a weird way.....why I entered that way I will never know. Since I am a traumatic brain injury survivor, hitting the head over and over can kill someone. My doctor out of town said go to the ER but he does not know the ER in this town. It is horrible. No matter how sick you are they make you wait hours. I have been told people in the waiting room have had strokes waiting........they say they are too busy and busy more than our huge hospital in the state.........something needs to be done to get them to fix their many issues on taking care of patients. It is a horrible experience going into that waiting room. Last night, I left and prayed over my head........I took time last night to pray for myself.....something I do not do enough of.....I pray for others and forget to pray for myself. So if you are not praying for yourself.......please take the time. I woke up today feeling much better. That hit in my head made me really sick and until this morning I was having a hard time. JESUS is so precious to answer our prayers. The Lord heard my prayer and healed that area of pain. I have also asked JESUS for a hedge of protection around my head.......too many times since my TBI I have hit my head really hard and with a traumatic brain injury you can't keep hitting your head. No matter what the doctors say, I won't go before its my time. So if you will say a prayer to JESUS for me, and ask that my head be guarded by the Lord.

Tonight I went to a funeral home in support of a mother and her family. Her son died a week ago with alcohol and drugs. I feel confident that young man did not even think he would die that night. He did........I had never met him.........but in seeing him in the casket.......I saw a precious young man. He did not even look his age of 24. The mother is just numb and has not even had the time to mourn. Please keep Karen and her family in your prayers. The only thing I could say to her was that "I was so so sorry" and that it was going to be a long journey and to rest and take care of herself and if she will let JESUS take care of her, he will.

I was raised in the funeral business. My great dad was and still is a funeral director. It is a sad business, but that is a business that is needed.

What went wrong? Why could he not receive the message the Lord has for us all. His parents could not control his choices........but my heart is shaken that he died. OUR LIFE IS A VAPOR, The Holy Bible tells us. Life is really precious. I did not understand how precious until 6 years ago when I was at deaths door for 3 days..........what could the youth have done at church? Who could have extended a hand to him? I was told he had such a great heart. That he was so kind and nice...........who all abanded him? Did anyone? I am so sad right now. I pray that if you have people in your church or neighborhood that need help that you will ask Jesus what you can do.....take special time to pray for the lost and hurting.....pray for the ones that are not with JESUS and pray that they see the truth. Pray they don't believe the lies of the evil one.

Busy lives........to me choke out the people we need to help. Too much activity in ones life other than helping people who are lost, lonely and at the edge of death. I don't know what she is going through but I do know how it feels to have a child at death like I did with my son when he was two months old. Please keep this family of Karen in your prayers. (I WILL WRITE MORE AS MY MIND CAN THINK)

Cherry Coke Salad

1 can (20 ounce) crushed pineapple
1/2 cup filtered pure water
2 packages (3 ounces each) cherry gelatin
1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
3/4 cup cola

Drain pineapple, reserving juice; set pineapple aside. In a saucepan or microwave, bring pineapple juice and water to a boil. Add gelatin; stir until disolved. Stir in cherry pie filling and cola. Honey Cinnamon Butter

1 cup butter
1/2 cup honey
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Citrus Fruit Smoothies

5 cups grapefruit juice
3 cups orange juice
1 cup filter PUR water
4 medium firm bananas but up and frozen

It is a beautiful day today where I live. Birds are enjoying the weather and my hummingbird is enjoying his fresh feed. Flowers are blooming and the sun is shinning. Do you ever take a look outside and see the blue sky, trees blowing in the wind, people are smiling, green grass smells so good, and thank JESUS for all he has created? He loves us so much and is waiting for "thank you's". He loves for us to share our time with him. I thank JESUS throughout the whole day. I thank him for who he is THE GREAT I AM.........I thank him that I can see, feel, touch, taste.......there was a long time after my brain injury that I could not even taste food. It is so nice to taste a great meal. Blessings after blessings and JESUS says we have not because we ask not. I believe that is true for needs but I also believe that word from Jesus is because we don't have more of him and he wants to give us more of him. We don't have more of him because we have not asked for more of him. I do, I want more of him........I want to love him so much that a minute without him I could bleed tears of blood. I want that close relationship with JESUS. He is my morning star.........he never leaves me or you.........we are the ones that walk away and until a person wants more of him, I just don't believe he will give it to us. He does not force himself on us........he is the only true Gentleman. Our savior that died for us. I hope you take time to spend QUALITY TIME with JESUS.........talk with him and let him know he is more important than anything or person in your life. He will give you more love than you can handle. More freedom and you will know who he is and that you can rely on him for everything.

JESUS YOU GET ALL THE GLORY

It was six years ago today that I was at death.......from medical records it was 12:43 that I was at work and fell on a broken step......3-4 minutes without breathing and heartbeat.....that is what the company report states.......this is the information on my record.......I had just had a traumatic brain injury........swelling of the brain and bleeding in the brain.........they told me later blood was on the walls and floor.........that I lost so much.....they were mopping it up...I would later find out that I had suffered a closed head injury....it is better to have a fracture.....instead of closed head where the pressure has no where to go......that day........JESUS decided I would live........and take the journey of pain and suffering only to be alive and do better and able to tell others and give JESUS all the glory. I had to relearn things.....how to tie my shoes, spell my name and all the words I had known........I had to learn that 1+1 equals 2.........and I have come such a long way.

I was talking with a man of God.......and he said the Lord gave him this scripture Psalm 107:20, he was at our revival....."He Spoke and they were healed---snatched from the door of death". I don't think I would have ever found this wonderful scripture on my own in reading the word and if I would have it would have taken much longer than when JESUS so precious taking his time to visit with me that night.

I am not all the way back to my normal self........but praise JESUS unless someone stays hours with me or really knew me that would not notice at all. I am highly favored through JESUS and highly blessed. I tell all I can about me being saved from death and I will go on to Praise JESUS and our Heavenly Father for loving me and giving me mercy. We all have a plan for us designed by GOD.......I want to walk with the Morning Star and be there for JESUS too........He loves when we spend time with him........he waits on us........if you can picture Jesus in human form........a visitor that came to visit and just sitting in our home while we are busy watching tv, on the computer, driving places (he is with us in the car) shopping for groceries.........shopping (he is with us in the stores too).......and yet everyone else and everything else gets our time..........he is being ignored..........he died for us........he suffered so we could be healed and live with him forever........yet most of the time he gets only a thank you or Lord, please I need this.....Lord will you give this to me....I desire this Lord.........I am lonely Lord.........and he gives and gives and gives........yet he our Creator and Master is not fullfilled with our time for him and the love we give others.........I pray that today........you take the time for the KING........who deserves much much more than he ever receives.........if we understood how BIG our Lord is.........he never stops thinking about us...........he died for us.........we owe him our life........we owe him our first thoughts and praises to him.........we owe him in every step or thought we take.........HE BOUGHT US WITH A PRICE that no one else would ever pay for us. He weeps when we weep. He cares about every tiny little thing. He covers us and shields us.........he thinks about us night and day.......while we are resting and sleeping JESUS thinks about us.........yet time and time again people don't have time for him and I am guilty of that too..........because I love JESUS and I honor him then he has to feel it and see it. The reason I started thinking of JESUS for in human form is because since he is always with us........we might as well see him in the supernatural........and realize he is right with us........so how would we feel if we were always knocking on a friends door for time and they let us in but did not visit with us and worked around us? We would feel ignored and left out and less than we are. I pray everyone see's JESUS for who he is and welcome him in your life and heart and let him be the first in the morning and all through the day.....he guides us if we let him and he will answer our prayer....be it yes my child or no not at this time my child. Just like you would see a lonely person at a party or at a dinner with all the crowd around and then JESUS set to the side..........those things breaks his heart...........we get hurt when we are ignored.....and yet JESUS is left out until he is needed..........if it breaks your heart when you are left ignored then imagine that since he died for us how JESUS feels...........he loves us so much and never stops loving us..........and he is always there.........for me I don't want to ever ignore him even in busy days..........he must come first..........Have a blessed day!

Alcohol will kill mildew on caulk in your tub and sinks when its applied....so use in your bathtub at the caulk. Put alcohol in a spray bottle and use on the caulk. I also use hydrogen peroxide in cleaning my tub.........I use water with it. No toxic fumes.

How Wonderful

Praise be to God that he forgives our sins when we ask him. Praise be to GOD that our sins don't have levels. A sin is a sin is a sin. Praise GOD that he did not give tiers and levels of the sins we committ. No matter what we have done if we ask and believe we are forgiven.....be it murder, sexual sin, adultry....and the list goes on. No sin is worse than the other. Praise JESUS we can be set free by asking for forgiveness. Today is a great day to not judge others. If you have ever been judged.....which we all have.......it really can break your heart. For all that read this blog........I pray you take time to forgive those you have judged.......I know I will.

Great time to also paint your toenails and to smooth that skin at your heels, put on Vicks Vapor Rub and cotton socks over it for two weeks and you will love your feet!

Guilt

Guilt comes as a result of breaking one of God's laws. A woman who has broken (or man) God's law needs to take their sin to the great FORGIVER. If they repent and stop doing what they feel guilty about, their guilt is covered by the blood of JESUS CHRIST. Guilty feelings linger when they do not choose to accept God's forgiveness. Guilt may lead to depression. (Forgiven and Set Free by Linda Cochrane. This is a book that I am studying in and one day I will tell you the story.

She also writes......What can wash away your guilt? Accepting God's Forgiveness. Read Hebrews 10:19-22; Titus 3:5; and Revelation 1:5. Satan will do his best for you to believe God will not forgive you and you have done too much to be forgiven. That is a lie from the devil. We have to know that if we confess our sin and ask for forgiveness we are free.....FREE...and don't keep doing the sin. WE HAVE TO FORGIVE OURSELVES and satan wants to confuse us and keep us in bondage when JESUS has forgiven the sin and HE....THE GREAT I AM chooses to remember NO MORE. I pray that you can forgive yourselves after JESUS has forgiven you. Don't stay in the pit and don't believe the LIES of the DEVIL.........who would love to destroy you so you can suffer in hell with him.

Instead of taking things to the dump.....or tying to find someone to take it.......place outside for the day on your driveway.....today I had a nice chair that had stains but will be beautiful for someone that can recover themselves. Within one hour someone had come by and picked up the chair. No hauling away for me and a new chair for them with only spending a few dollars. Baking Soda Uses

Scatter baking soda over the grease fire.

Clean the dishwasher and coffeemaker by running an empty cycle with baking soda.....hummmm....I don't think I would use in the coffee pot.

Use 1/2 cup baking soda to your bath.

Use in your kitty litter box.

For bug bites, sunburn or poison ivy make a paste with water.

Soak your toothbrushes in soda. 1/2 cup baking powder and 1/4 cup water and let soak overnight.

Dandelions

Dandelions~~~~Those yellow flowers that pop up in your yard. Many people hate them and mow them down and they come right back up. Many people see Dandelions as a weed trying to destory their yard. I see Dandelions different. I see them as very strong and determined.......I see them as warriors trying to stay alive. I view them as bright happy faces in the flower world. What they look like to me is a flower that fights hard to keep going. They are mowed down but have the strength to keep pushing forward.

Like me, I am a dandelion and so are many people. We stay strong even when life has a way of falling down in mid-flight. When we have things come our way that cause heartache and stress.....loss....tears and frustration.....through JESUS we are able to fight the good fight and survive. That is what Dandelions do.......they are ripped up and mowed down yet they continue to come back with bright yellow faces.......ready to face another storm, they fight the big fight. I hope next time you see one in your yard you will take a moment and reflect their strength and determination. Through JESUS we can withstand the storms that come our way. Victoria
