2 tablespoons butter
3 pears, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch cubes
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon freshly grated lemon zest
*In a medium sauce pan, melt butter. *Add pears, sugar, and lemon zest. *Cook over medium heat 5-7 minutes or until desired tenderness. *Serve warm or at room temperature. {Southernlady September/October 2005}
