Don't Forget

Jesus is always waiting on us and he loves us all.......no matter what we have done....
"There's more to come: We continue to shout our praise even when we're hemmed in with troubles, because we know how troubles can develop passionate patience in us, and how that patience in turn forges the tempered steel of virture, keeping us alert for whatever God will do next."~~Romans 5:3-4

"The right word at the right time is like a custom-made piece of jewelry."~~Proverbs 25:11

"Don't become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You'll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it."~~Romans 12:2

"The command we have from Christ is blunt: Loving God includes loving people. You've got to love both."~~I John 4:21

The Birth of JESUS CHRIST

I hope that all take Christmas Day or Christmas Eve and read the birth of Jesus.......it is not about gifts.........its about our Savior that was born so we could live forever with him in Heaven. Make some cookies or cupcakes.....serve hot tea or hot cocoa with whipping cream and gather around the tree........with family and friends and read Luke 2. Thank you God for sending your son to us! Thank you God for loving us so much.........Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas!

Don't let life discourage you; everyone who got where they are; had to begin where they were.
Philippians 3:14 "I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus."

Christmas Teas

With the ice still on my driveway and roads around my home.....I made myself a wonderful cup of hot tea. Celestial Teas have a Holiday Collection.......I am drinking Sugar Cookie Sleigh Ride and it is so delicious.....make yourself a cup of tea today........use your bone china tea cup and saucer........it makes it much more fun.

Apples Apples Apples Christmas with Victoria 1998

For Cross-stitching

Using the cross-stitch patterns of monograms........stitch pearl beads to form a desired letter. How beautiful on a scarf...........a wool scarf.

Christmas with Victoria {1998}

I love beautiful wrapping when giving a gift..........it so makes the gift even more special. Here are some gift wrapping ideas.........from Christmas with Victoria 1998..........

Pape-Doily Wraps
For a lacy effect, tape square, round, or rectangular paper doilies around gifts wrapped in solid paper. Weave ribbon through the holes in a the doily and tie it in a bow. Fold a square doily's corners to its center and glue 3-4 in place for a custom envelope to hold a photograph, poem, or note.

Fabric Envelopes
This is a treasure to give. Create fabric envelopes to hold photographs, tickets, jewelry, gift card. For a pattern, unfold a paper envelope and trace its shape onto 2-pieces of scrap fabric and a piece of lightweight fusible web. Following the manufacturer's instructions for the fusible web, fuse the web onto the wrong side of the fabric piece intended for the outside of the envelope. Remove the paper backing from the fusible web and fuse the outside fabric to the remaining fabric piece {the envelope lining}. Using an intact paper envelope as a guide, fold the side flaps toward the center. Then fold the bottom flap up. Secure the bottom flap to the side flaps, using strips of fusible web. Trim the envelopes with cording and fabric-covered buttons. You can also use other things.....I would love to be able to understand how to do this. I pray one day I can make one of these.....Enjoy............. I know the envelope will be well recieved. Great for birthdays too or a gift to a friend or grandmother.........
During this Christmas season many are alone and have lost loved ones.......if the loved ones were saved believe me they would not want to come back to earth. They loved you very much, but they would never want to leave JESUS. I pray that all that are alone will find peace in JESUS this Christmas.....when I was thinking about God today I went to Isaiah 40...one of my favorites in the Holy Bible. Here are some scriptures I love in Isaiah 40. This is the God we serve.

God gives us comfort....peace....the grass withers and the flowers fall but the word of our GOD stands forever. See, the Sovereign Lord comes with power, and his arm rules for him. He tends his flock {we the saved are his flock} like a sheperd.....He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart {that is us the saved ones}; he gently leads those that have young. Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens. Who has the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighs the mountains on the scales and the hills in balance.........

DO YOU NOT KNOW? Have you not heard? Has it not been told you from the beginning? Have you not understood since the earth was founded? HE {GOD} sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its people are like grasshoppers. HE {GOD} stretches out the heavens like a canopy, and spreads them out like a tent to live in. He brings princes to naught and reduces the rulers of this world to nothing. "TO WHOM CAN YOU COMPARE ME? OR WHO IS MY EQUAL"" says the HOLY ONE. Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: WHO CREATED ALL THESE? He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name. BECAUSE OF HIS GREAT POWER AND MIGHTY STRENGTH not one of them is missing.

This is theGod that loves you and will carry you if you let him. The God we serve is loving and peace and gentle and kind, slow to anger.........{this is in other scriptures in other books in the bible}.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting GOD, the CREATOR of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary.....and his UNDERSTANDING no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall: but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. THIS IS THE GOD WE SERVE. {Scriptures from Student Bible Isaiah 40.}

So this Christmas remember you are not alone at all........Your saved loved ones are with JESUS and they are very very happy........they are wanting you to serve Jesus. If you are not then get your heart right with JESUS.........ask him into you heart and ask for the forgiveness of your sins and believe that God sent his son so we could have life.........believe he died on the cross for your sins........and rose the third day.........believe in the Father Son and Holy Ghost.......and ask JESUS to be your Lord and Savior and he will. No matter what you have done.....DO NOT BELIEVE THE LIES of the evil one satan.........you will be forgiven no matter what you have done. If you do this..........your name will instantly be written in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE........heaven will be your final destination.....if you stay in love with JESUS and read the word and serve him........reading the word is JESUS talking to us....the HOLY BIBLE is alive.....we pray talking to JESUS and we read the word so he can talk to us......and you will live forever with JESUS and family and friends.......no sorrow....no tears.......healthy and whole.......forever and forever and forever........NO ENDING..........Blessings to you and your families and friends..........Merry Christmas.........

Chocolate Mint Shortbread Cookies

1 {7 1/2 oz} package chocolate-covered mint patties
1 {7 1/2 oz} package of shortbread cookies
1 to 2 teaspoons milk {optional}

PUT the patties in the top of a double boiler over barely simmering water and stir until melted and smooth. REMOVE from heat. IF the frosting is too thick to spread, stir in 1 to 2 teaspoons milk. FROST the shortbread cookies with melted patties. LET the cookies stand on waxed paper until the frosting sets. {Victoria 1993} To give as gift.......place in a pretty tartan pattern tin.....or a pretty Christmas Tin. This is great for birthday gifts and Valentine's Day too.

Peppermint Cookies

My cousin Pam went to a very festive party Saturday night and here is one of the treats they offered.

Make your sugar cookie recipe or buy the sugar cookie dough ready to bake.......as you roll out the dough or slice the dough.....if you are using cooking cutters or just slicing the dough, add crushed peppermint........bake and then when cooled drizzle chocolate sauce over the cookies.

Thank you for sharing.......I know this is pretty and taste great.

Pop Corn Balls

1/2 stick unsalted butter
1 {10 oz} bag marshmallows
1/4 cup light brown sugar
3 quarts popped popcorn

In a large heavy pot , melt the butter over low heat. ADD the marshmallows and brown sugar and stir until melted. REMOVE from heat. PLACE the corn in a large bowl and pour on the marshmallow mixture; toss well. BUTTER your hand and shape the corn into balls of whatever size you desire. SET on wax paper to dry. Place in pretty bags. {Recipe by Martha Stewart}. I worked with Martha in 1997 and she is a delight to work with. I was honored to be a part of a luncheon she was involved in. Her menu was extensive with great things......our hotel chef's created exactly what she wanted. I wish I could remember what we had. It was delicious I know.

Decorate

Add confetti to your Christmas dinning table. One year I hollowed out apples and put my taper candles in the apple. I did not hollow out all the apple. Really look pretty.

Place pecans or walnuts in a bowl with a nutcracker on tables for guests.

Pick up a Christmas Memories book for this Christmas...it is fun to enter all you do.

Grapefruit and More Grapefruit

The season is here for many fruits. I love Grapefruit. I could not have grapefruit for 5 years due to the medicine I was taking. How grateful I was to not take that medicine anymore. Now I enjoy this delicious fruit. Be sure to talk to your pharmacy.....precious grapefruit can't be in your diet with certain medications. Did you know:
1 medium pink, red, or white grapefruit contains: 82 calories, 3 grams fiber, 356 mg of potassium, 88 mg vitamin C, and 2.096 mcg. of lycopene.{nutritional profile from Vegetarian Times, January 2009}. Vegetarian Times also tells us that even though grapefruits might look the same they are not. Those that feel heavy in your hand will be the ripest and juiciest. I used to broil my grapefruit with brown sugar or sugar.....the ones I bought last month were not good for eating and I was really disappointed so I like Simply Grapefruit Juice. I hope you can find some really great grapefruit this season and they are good in gifts baskets too.

Udate on Calcium Citrate and Magnesium

I have said in the past due to research that Magnesium and Calcium needs to be seperate but after hearing Dr. Carolyn Dean who wrote "Magnesium the Miracle", she states that God made our leafy greens with calcium and magnesium so I agree with her it is fine to take together. Check with your doctor or pharmacy. I am going to take mine together from now on.

Don't Forget To Serve Couscous With Meals

Dinner With Friends or Family

Use fresh green pine and fresh fruit in pretty big bowls..on your table as a centerpiece. Your guests will love the choice of fruit and we are supposed to eat fruit first not after dinner to get the best benefits from what God made for us.

For The Bird Lover

Give them a subscription to Birds and Blooms. They usually have a special where you can have a subscription and you can buy one for your friend or loved one at a better price. Give them a bird feeder along with birdseed.......you can make a copy of the cover of Birds and Blooms and let them know their monthly gift is on the way. If they are disabled.....take them by birdseed for the first three or six months after Christmas. It will be well enjoyed if they have a great view to see the birds.

Shop Safe This Christmas

First, Pray for JESUS to keep you safe.....keeping you under a hedge of protection. Don't carry out a lot of bags at once. If its after dark, have the security person walk you outside and always park by a bright light. It is best to take a friend shopping with you especially at night time. Only take out your credit or debt card when you are to swipe the card and watch around you. Go only to ATM's at banks. Thieves can use camera phones to record what you are putting in on the ATM you are using. I prefer to go by my bank. You can put all things in one bag. Make sure your debt card or credit is swiped only once. If they leave with your card..go to the manager or follow them. I would follow them first. Keep your purse at your side and if you are in a store like Walmart or Kroger or Target...fasten your purse to the child seat buckle and keep your purse zipped. Taking a friend and you watching out for each other is best. {Victoria and All You Magazine}

Ideas For Christmas Gifts

Most people don't buy sheets as much as they should. Give a gift of sheets and put in a bath towel or two and nice wash cloths. Wrap the gift even in clear plastic and add ribbons and ribbons to make this gift really special.

If someone loves to write.......basket or box of journals and a pretty pen with pretty notepaper and include stamps.

Legacy and Destination

Me and my family have been left a legacy.....Our great aunt Audra Czarnikow wrote a beautiful song, perhaps you have heard it, GOD WALKS THE DARK HILLS. This song was recorded in 1965. I want to put the lyrics on my blog for you to see the entire song.......Ray and Laura Lewis are the only ones I know of to date that sing this song just like Audra wrote it. The Happy Goodman Family made this song famous but they left out the second chorus and we don't know why. I hope you enjoy the words to this beautiful song and check out www.lewisandlewis.org and click on SONG STORIES and you will see GOD WALKS THE DARK HILLS.

I saw them in concert November 30 and felt so honored to meet them. They love the Lord and are the sweetest couple. I was so happy to meet the man that recorded this song for the first time. Ray Lewis and he and his wife Laura travel the roads witnessing for JESUS and singing gospels songs....just one of the things they do for our Lord.

When I was in the audience the people did not know that I was the great niece to Audra Czarnikow, they were going to introduce me after they sang the song. I was taken back with tears in my eyes when Laura started singing the song and people stood up raising their hands to JESUS when she started singing God Walks The Dark Hills. What a legacy. Here are the words:

Verse One
God Walks the dark hills, the highways and biways
He walks o'er the billows of life's troubled sea
He walks in the cold, dark shadows of midnight
God walks the dark hills for you and me.

First Chorus
God walks the dark hills to guide my footsteps
He walks everywhere by night and by day
He walks in silence down the lone highway
God walks the dark hills to show me the way.

Verse Two
God walks in the storm, the rain and the sunshine
He walks in the shadows of glimmering light
He walks o'er the mountains, the rivers and valleys
God walks the dark hills to guide you and me.

Second Chorus
God walks in silence in the stillness of midnight
He walks in your Garden of Gethsemane
He walks through the halls and aisles of the Temple
God walks the dark hills to guide you and me.

Destination, I knew thought nor would my family including Audra, that I would never have met Ray Lewis. Just like in our lives, if we live for JESUS we have a Royal Destination. We never know where the Lord is going to place us. We can be sure its for his GLORY. He will always make a way for us.

Another Legacy, words our family have left for us. My grandmother was with me during my pregnancy, also my papo and Aunt Audra Czarnikow and of course my mom and family.......I know many prayers were prayed for my pregnancy and life of my son, Christopher. A few weeks ago I took my grandmothers bible to church....I usually keep on the desk or night stand because this bible of hers is so precious to me. Our pastor asked us to turn to Exodus Chapter 12.........as I was reading along with the pastor I noticed on the next side of the page verse 13 was highlighted by a pen mark and my grandmother wrote on the side.....Exodus 12:13 prayer for Christopher on prayer cloth. For those that are in the Assembilies of God and Pentecostal know about "prayer cloths". My family always prayed....all through my life and I would tell everyone my grandmother, grandpa and Aunt Audra had a hot line to heaven. But we all have that resource.....we can go directly to JESUS CHRIST for our prayers and praises.......for our THANK YOU JESUS for all you have done for me, the good and the bad........Good will always come out of something bad if you live for JESUS. I pray that you start working on a legacy for your children and family. And remember we can have a good destination if we serve JESUS.

Happy "Sonday"

Wishing each of you a happy "Sonday"....the son being JESUS CHRIST......my son has moved out and is living with a friend. I was giving him some things for the place. I had an extra mixer and I gave him my blender, two towels and wash cloths.....and some food. I know we are supposed to let our children grow up and when they are disrespectful and don't want to listen to mom and dad.......or anyone.....when they are hateful and think they know everything........and don't understand why they have to work........we are to cut back on them....I have done really good but my heart hurts when I know he might be hungry and no gas.......I don't have the income to take care of him. He is 19 and I love him but he is able to work.....please say a prayer for my son to do really great on a job he finds.......Thank you for your prayers. How wonderful we can always go to JESUS and he is with us and never leaves us........

The Lord directed me to a scripture a few months ago. This is from the Student Bible.....
"If anyone does not provide for his relatives, and especially for his immediate family, he has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever."~~ I Timothy 5:8

I have told others about this scripture and they say well, when they are not trying or do not care........I am not helping and this is not for that and all the things I hear..........I am reminded that JESUS did not put a condition on this scripture. Jesus did not say if the family member lives up to your expectations.......if the family member does so and so.......he said to help them........and I see no conditions in this scripture. Love your family today and let them know you love them. Extend a helping hand.

Old Fashioned Soak Salad

2 heads lettuce greens, {Romaine, Boston, iceburg or curly top)
2 large medium Creole tomatoes (Beefsteak or Jersey, or any kind you choose)
6 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
1 tablespoon of lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
1/8 teaspoon sugar
1 teaspoon finely minced garlic
1 tablespoon finely minced fresh parsley
1/2 teaspoon dried basil or 1 teaspoon minced fresh basil

Wash and dry lettuce. Wash tomatoes, pare ends and cut into chunks. Place in a large stainless steel, porcelain or plastic bowl. In a small bowl, combine olive oil, wine vinegar, lemon juice and seasonings; whisk with a wire whisk or fork or combine in an electric blender. Pour over salad and toss to mix thoroughly. It's all right to bruise the chunks of tomato a bit; their juice is an important part of the dressing. Just don't mash them. Cover salad with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 3 hours. Serve in individual salad or dessert bowls and spoon about 2 tablespoons of the liquid from the bottom of the salad bowl over each portion. Makes 4-6 servings.......By Irene Wassell Democrat Gazett

Vanilla Vanilla Vanilla

I love Vanilla.......when cooking with Vanilla many times I would put some on my wrists or behind my ears just to enjoy the fragrance.

I do use vanilla in hot cocoa, store bought or homemade. I have also put a drop in my coffee.

Vanilla Brown Sugar
4 cups granulated sugar, dark brown sugar, or confectioners' sugar
1 vanilla bean, split in half lengthwise

Fill a 1-quart jar with tight-fitting lid with one of the types of sugar. Add vanilla bean.
Seal jar and store at least 1 week in cool, dark, dry place. When sugar is used up, add more until vanilla bean looses its flavor.

Suggestons~~stir in cappuccino or use in cakes.....sprinkle sugar over oatmeal. You can also sprinkle over fruit. {From Victoria Magazine 1995}

Vanilla Hazelnut Biscotti {I love this and used to make it and will again one day}
2 eggs
1 cup of Vanilla sugar like recipe above {Vanilla flavored sugar}
Pinch of salt
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 cups hazelnuts, coarsely chopped {I do not use nuts but you can choose other nuts too}
1 egg white, lightly beaten

Preheat oven to 350 degrees....lightly butter and flour large baking sheet.
In medium bowl, beat eggs with a fork until foamy. Slowly add sugar and salt, mixing with a fork until blended. Set aside. Sift flour and baking powder into large bowl. Make a well in center of dry ingredients. Add egg mixture. Stir with a fork until flour is moistened and is crumbly.

Turn out on lightly floured surface. Knead gently, gradually adding nuts. When dough is smooth, divide in half. Shape each half of dough into a log 16 inches long and about 1 inch in diameter. Arrange logs on baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Brush with egg white.

Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown. Cool on pan set on rack for 15 minutes. Reduce oven to 300 degrees.

Remove logs from pan. Cut logs diagonally in slices 1 /2 inch thick. Stand slices upright on baking sheet. Bake a 300 for 20 minutes until biscotti are dry and lightly golden. Cool on a pan set on rack {Cookies will be crisp throughout.}

Store in airtight container up to several weeks. Great with coffee or tea....even egg nog.

What Right Does God Have to Require My Full Commitment & Surrender

2. God created all things. {Colossians 1:16}
3. God has the right as our Savior and owner. Who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, eager to do what
is good. {Titus 2:14} Because he purchased us at Calvary with his shed blood.

Candles and Candles and Candles

I love soy candles......BeanPod is my favorite. I love Bees Wax also. Here are a few ideas I want to share with you.

You can use vegetables and fruit for candle holders. Pineapple is hospitality. Insert a candle stick in the center of the pineapple. Use more than one on a buffet. Use urns with ivy and candles.......group in three's and have some higher and lower. Place candles in the center of a rose arrangement. Bees Wax candles are just fabulous, add pretty bows around the urn.

If you have a stair case...place votives in candle holders.....three votives per step going up to the top.

Group vases or nice glasses in a tray and cover with all holly and greenry add floating candles.

You can stack an green apple and red apple and orange with a candle on top.

"One small candle may light a thousand".~~William Bradford

Purchase a bunch of wax tapers and tie with pretty organza ribbon and give to a dear friend.

Use tera cotton mini pots and glue on silk green leaves and add a votive candle. Tie with the ribbon that looks like straw........regret I can't think of the name of it! lol

Having friends over for coffee this Christmas season.......take coffee beans and place in goblet or nice glass dish and insert a fragrant votive to match the coffee scent........you can put on a tray with biscotti and other chocolates....even chocolate spoons. Always have homemade hot cocoa on hand too...your friend may bring a guest that does not drink coffee. It will still be a fun time for all.

{More candle ideas to follow}

Christmas Gift Giving Suggestions

For the baker: cookie cutters, decorating tips, decorating food colors or food paste, spinkles, anything to decorate a cookie with. Give recipes or a cookie cookbook. Place in a basket with tons or ribbon.

For the lady of the home or someone that stays at home alot: Give a basket of pretty dish towels and cloths..monogram them. Give them dish towels of the seasons.......hearts for February and flowers for Spring and Summer, Autum, and Winter and Christmas. Add pretty dish cloths too. I love these things and I buy them for myself and for others. Dish towels are not something most people keep enough on hand. This is a nice treat for someone.

UPDATE

A nice basket of all kinds of spices is a great gift to give. Many people do not even take a look at the expiration dates on their spices. I discarded my outdated spices today.

Farmhouse Rosemary Biscuits

2 cups Bisquick baking mix, plus a small amount for rolling biscuits.
1 {8 ounce} carton sour cream
1/2 butter or margarine, melted
1 tablespoon fresh, chopped rosemary

Mix first three ingredients together until sticky dough forms. Using a tablespoon, scoop a small ball of dough and roll in extra Bisquick baking mix and the rosemary. Drop into a greased mini-muffin tin, or put three balls together in a regular muffin tin. Bake at 400 for 18 minutes or until brown. This makes 12 mini muffin biscuits or 4 regular size muffin biscuits.
{Southernlady Magazine Winter 2000} Enjoy!

Vegetable Pasta Soup

1 cup of chopped onion
1/2 cup of green chopped pepper
1/2 cup of celery
2 tablespoons vegetable oil (I will use olive oil)
2 {14- 1/2 ounce} cans beef broth
1 {28 ounce} can crushed tomatoes in tomato puree
1 {14-1/2 ounce} can diced tomatoes
2 teaspoons of Italian seasoning
2 teaspoons of sugar
1/2 teaspoon of pepper (I like white pepper)
1 {16 ounce} package of frozen mixed vegetable
8 ounces of uncooked pasta...you can use the neat fun shapes

Cook onion, green pepper, and celery in hot oil in a dutch oven over medium-high heat until tender. Stir in broth and next 5 ingredients. Bring to a boil; add frozen vegetables. Return to a boil; cover, reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in pasta, then cook, uncovered, an additional 15 minutes or until pasta in tender. Yield: 10 cups

Gift Ideas

If someone loves to garden....buy them a subscription to a great Garden magazine. Gloves, pick up a garden pail and fill with bulbs, pruning shears, a wooden handle trowel, packets of seeds, garden markers. Give garden ornaments. Pick up a nice Garden book.

Gifts of Coffee

Tailor a gift of coffee to those that love coffee. Look for a pretty coffee mug, visit estate sales. Give with a box of biscotti or add flavored coffee along with coffee or mocha flavored candies. Buy flavored coffee in one pot servings but mix with many flavors. Give a cream and sugar set. Find a set that is really old or beautiful.

Recipes To Follow This Week

Here are a few more suggestions that I do for holiday time and/or anytime.

Purchase a clip ornament, I love rose buds or birds.....and place on a plate when someone special comes over to visit. Then they can take the ornament home with them. This is an idea for Mother's Day or Birthday. It is well received and is something really special for the person. Also if you are having a small dinner that is a nice treat for your guests to take home. An ornament is a special gift and you can find many that your friend or family member can use all year long.

Find a nice ivory colored or a color of choice knitted scarf and sew on pearl beads all over the scarf.....it makes a beautiful gift and will last for years........you can do that will gloves too.

For those blessed with kniting of any kind making pot holders or places for warm things to lay on in the kitchen is a very nice pretty gift. You can also knit them pretty dish clothes so they can have something really pretty washing their dishes. My apartment manager made some for me one time and I just loved that gift. It was my color scheme of pink and I still have one today. That is a gift from the heart.

You can place candles on a pretty tray and wrap around garland in stars or snowflakes.....and your tray can also have a mirror for the candles to reflect...really pretty on a table or coffee table........you can take a pretty bowl and add floating candles and tops of roses floating.......that is really beautiful. Also snip the long wick before lighting the candle.......and keep it trimmed after burning. For a place setting, take a sprig of greenery and tie with ribbon and place a pretty ornament on top. A bird would be great too. Ribbons are wonderful.

"I'll tell you how the Sun rose.....A ribbon at a time."~~Emily Dickinson

You can add bows of ribbon on your candle shades.

Use wax seals on your Christmas cards this year. It makes a wonderful touch to your pretty cards. use Christmas postage stamps...if you can write in calligraphy or with gold or silver pens....that is a beautiful presentation to place in the mail. You can also insert a small flat ornament.

For those that can sew or if you find a velvet stocking.......have a monagram initial on the stocking and give with great treats.

With a small gift you can use velvet for wrapping.....place the gift in the center and put up the corners and tie with a beautiful ribbon.

Paper doilies are beautiful to decorate with. Be sure and place one in your saucer before serving hot cocoa or tea.

Learn napkin folding....and set your table with beautiful folds of napkins. Easy to find books on napkin folding...be sure to even check the library.

Head vases are so beautiful.....around the new year have ladies over and use "Head Vases" as a place setting right in the center of your plates.

Happy Monday

I love the Holy Bible....it is alive. Psalm 139........
O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my every thought when far away. You chart the path ahead of me and tell me where to stop and rest. Every moment you know where I am. You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord. You both precede and follow me.

PLEASE turn to this chapter in your bible and think on this....this is a wonderful chapter in the Holy Bible ....how wonderfully we are loved and we can't even consume just how much Jesus loves us.......we will never love the way he does here on earth. If we really knew just a tiny bit how much we were loved by our Lord and Savior.....we would never fear or feel alone and empty. This is a great Thanksgiving read and for everyday. Spend time with our Savior who died for us even before we were formed in our mothers womb.

Suggestions

When having friends over or family, adding ribbon around the base of the glass is very festive and you can also add silk strand of beads or flowers through the knot.

Have a tea party this coming Spring.

When shopping for Christmas gifts and you are giving a gift.....keep all receipts in an envelope or box to save in case there needs to be exchange. I just give the receipt unless I know what a person is wanting. Those are the best gifts anyway...don't buy what you like buy what they like.

I used to love doing this.....when you invite friends over put at the place setting a one time camera. Then your guests can take their own pictures. Put a treat at the place setting. A Godiva Chocolate Bar or whatever........

I use Christmas Crackers each year.....and you can buy them after Christmas usually.......purchase the ones that will go along for birthday or Valentines day.......you open them they pop and there is a surprise inside.

Tie ribbon around your dinning chairs.......I love ribbons.....I keep a box of ribbons on hand.

Ladies, part your hair different tomorrow.......parting on the side is a more romantic look. The best way to look more brighter...Touche Eclat Pen.......you can order at QVC or nice department store.

More to follow! Enjoy your Saturday evening.........make up some homemade hot cocoa with whipping cream!

From My Dentist

If you have bleeding gums of course go see the dentist but taking Vitamin C each day is healthy for your gums. I am going to start taking 1,000 mg each day.......

ALERT...if you have receding gums and feel the pain of exposed nerves.......ask your dentist for Omnii Cavity Shield.....it is a varnish and it can help that area.........I applied some to my two teeth Thursday night and I think I need to apply a bit more. I will report on this further. It is great and they also use on children's teeth.

Praise JESUS For His Glory and Mercy

We are at the middle of the month. I am sure some are getting ready for Thanksgiving and for Christmas too. Please take time today or this evening to read Psalm 91. This is such an uplifting chapter and you will feel better after you read it. I also want to give some scriptures for those that are having a hard time right now and for those that have a family member that needs the scriptures to stand strong on.

Savation of a spouse~~Mark 11:24; 2 Peter 3:9; Galatians 5:6.

More Fun Tips

Thanks to All You Magazine.....I want to share these tips with you.....their material with my own writing added.

Look outside for even 60 seconds and when the sun shines it signals your brain that it is time to be up and alert.....this will lift you out of a slump.......Better yet, try standing in the sun a minute if nothing else.

Tea has theanine, an amino acid that revs brain activity, leaving you feel renewed.

Eating purple grapes boosts immune function, speeding the healing of pimples and other skin lesions. Pomegranate's ellagic acid protects skin cells from UV light.

Dark chocolate protect against airborne pollutants.

Know someone epecting a baby? Tell them that eating nuts during pregnancy raises your child's risk for asthma by almost 50%....(American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine). Now they told me to eat nuts when I was pregant in 1989.....things change!

Eating raisins contain phytochemicals that stifle the growth of cavity causing bacteria.

Risk for arthritis? Just eat half a grapefruit, one kiwi, four ounces of orange juice or any other fruit packed with vitamin C........vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that mops us free radicals before they can damage joint tissue, from the book The Arthritis Cure by Dr. Theodosakis.

Conserve your gas.....Check your gas cap. Gas can evaporte right of of your tank. It happens if your gas cap is leaky, broken, or loose. Look at the inside of your cap.......is it dry? Is it cracked? If so then replace with a new one........chcek with your dealer or Walmart or Sears or auto parts. Check tire pressure and air filter. If you drive 55 miles an hour on the highway, you use 10% less fuel than those who drive 10 miles faster.....this way you are sure to save gas and not get a speeding ticket!

Washing your clothes on "permanent press" can use 5 more gallons per wash than the regular cycle. If you have really nice clothes then to me its worth the price. Using permanent press on some washing machines gives an extra rinse.

Don't put your kitchen sink faucet on full blast when washing vegetables or fruit.....a gallon of water goes to waste each minute.......cut down to the size of a pencil and rinse this way saving water.

If you have room and use tablecloths.......install a curtain rod in the back of your closet to hang tablecloths and they will always be crease free.

Save the life of your razor.....carefully dry the blade after each use. Water oxidizes the metal on the blade, causing corrosion that makes the blade blunt and jaggerd..Thank you ALL YOU MAG.

Be sure when you take your clothes from the washer to shake them. I hang my things to dry....I only use the dryer for things that will not shrink and also before I put them in the dryer.....it hleps to keep from fading, stretching, pilling, damage.

You get a better deal on buying a vehicle on a rainy day; salesmen are more likely to lower the price and if the price is not what you want.....walk away........leave them your telephone number.

Surveys have shown, I don't know which ones, employees who ask for a specific salary instead of just saying they "want more money" are more likely to get a raise! Hummmmm pray about this first and I would tell them why Ideserve the raise........don't take my word though....

Wear your best shoes in job interviews.......in a new survey and I don't know the survey, 70% of all interviewers admitted to checking out a job seekers shoes to find out more about them, Hummm, I guess this is why I always looked a men's shoes before I went out with them...did they have my taste and do they have style? "lol". The best way to know someone before you go out with them is to watch and see if they are a Christian and let them tell you how they feel about JESUS and the bible. Always pray for God to send you the person he wants for you.

Another job search suggestion~~when your potential boss asks if you have any questions, say WHAT QUALITIES DO YOUR Most SUCCESSFUL EMPLOYEES HAVE? Another survey??? found that 98% of employers think more highly of job seekers who ask this question. WHY??? It not only makes you appear motivated, but the answer lets you know exactly what the interviewer is looking for---so you can taylor your future responses to come across as even more qualified. Best of luck.....I have always been blessed with my personality........I usually turned the interview around and got them to tell me more and I asked the questions....I guess that showed them I was motivated and I thought about things deeply and was careful about my decisions........but not everyone can do this. I am not suggesting you do this.

Do Not Worry

Because of hard times and the news making people afraid.....because of high prices......our economy.....Jesus' says DO NOT BE AFRAID........Read Matthew Chapter 6:25-34. No matter what we see around us or hear, the evil one satan wants us to worry and become sick with worry about our future, even this very day. The job closings....the gas prices......food prices, job loss, JESUS takes care of his children and if we become saved we ARE HIS CHILDREN. He gives the best to us........please take a few short seconds to read the scriptures I have listed.

It does not please God for us to worry.......that shows that we doubt his truth. I know it is hard....my faith is stronger now than anytime in my life.....but I have gone through trouble and in that time my faith grew stronger. Ask yourself HOW IS MY WALK WITH JESUS? Do I call on him only when I am in need or do I follow him everyday?

We are not to worry about what we eat or drink or what we are to wear.......those scriptures tell us that JESUS is going to cover us. He is our father....he will not let us go hungry, without shelter or clothing.....as long as we serve him.....Just like a human dad.......he takes care of the children or is supposed to.....God will do greater good things than a human parent.

He feeds the birds and clothes the fields with flowers.......Jesus tells us not to worry. A person will gain nothing by worrying.......Our Father knows we have need.......even before we see the need. So when the news overwhelms you.......bow to JESUS and tell him your concerns.....and thank him for what he has done for you.......things you have seen and things you have not seen. Instead of listening to the news.......which is drama to watch anyway.....raise you hands to JESUS and thank him for taking care of you. He is the Great I AM........all knowing all loving.........he will not let you down. We learn from times like these and our faith will grow stronger. In times like these we can become very close to JESUS, And GOD IS ALWAYS ON TIME. HE IS NEVER LATE. HE HEARS YOUR CRY..........HE LOVES YOU AND HE WILL ANSWER YOU!

"To Do" Suggestions

Buy yourself one fresh flower and place by your desk, bed, living room and enjoy. You will feel less stress by looking at your flower.

Visit your post office and stock up on stamps. They should have the Nutcracker stamps. I hope they have stamps for JESUS too.

Have velvet clothing? Don't iron.....freshen up by turning inside out and steam. Be careful....you might want to spot test this. I have done this before and my clothing looked really great!

Always dry clean your jacket, skirt or pants at the same time. Do not just take the pants or skirt to the cleaners...you want the color to match.

Walk and then walk....walking builds bones...walking can reduce high levels of estrogen...it makes your mood better.........helps with sleep. Also its free.

Stop Impulse Spending. Use things until they are ready to visit the garbage can. Really.....it is time to save money.....we don't need 15 pairs of shoes and 20 handbags....it really is fun to save.....even if its only $10 a week....Use all food in your pantry.....many times we have things we can make from our pantry but are not in the mood to eat.......think of new ways to prepare these items...you just may find a great new dish.

Make Red Velvet Cupcakes.

Have a yard sale. Visit yard sales.

Donate clothes to a church care center. A church where people can come in and pick up nice clothes for free. Call a church and see if there is a needy family and give nice sheets, clothing, maybe extra kitchen tools.......

Bake some sweet potatoes....They have more immunity boosting beta carotene than any other vegetable.

Have a piece of pumpkin pie......it helps your skin........it will promote collagen...now our faces need that and you can also enjoy a treat!

Eat pecans......they sharpen your brain. Pecans have Omega 3's.....they also have magnesium and calcium....

All You Magazine states that baby food applesauce is more nutritious than the adult variety. Because the peel is pureed along with the apples. I am going to buy me some.

Eat more apples.....even two a week at least. It can prevent Asthma....they have lots of fiber which links to better lung function even in smokers.

Try Ground White Pepper.....its better for you and it changes the taste just a bit. I love it.

Eat egg whites each day cooked up for a snack.....it helps our body and skin. Be sure to ask your doctor first.

Try the Simply Juices.......I love the Simply Apple and Simply Lemonade and Orange. I just tried today...Simply Orange and Mango...its wonderful.......Our Kroger has them on special for $3.00 each.

Call a family member just to say hello. Call a friend or write a nice letter today or card. Getting something in the mail means so much more!

Gift Ideas

Send someone a book of stamps....this comes in really handy for the home bound or for anyone. Place in a card and mail. It will be much appreciated.

Give a magazine subscription and make sure its something they will enjoy! Think about their personality and not what you like. When gift giving, the giver needs to think about who they are buying the gift for.......what they like not what you like!

Check out Tuesday Morning in your town. Pick up some monogram hand towels made of paper and place in your bathroom.

If someone likes tea.....pick up a pretty tea cup and saucer...one from an estate sale or yard sale and place some tea bags and wrap with a bow to give.

Little gifts mean a lot!

Holiday Recipes

Visit March-July and pick up some really great recipes just in time for Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Medical Alert

I just found this out from my surgeon.......Dr. T.Glenn Pait......when you have blood drawn....never draw your hand into a fist.......or grab a ball........if you do then Potassium can leak out from the vain into the blood...causing the wrong test results.........I am shocked.......the people that have drawn my blood my whole life has told me to make a fist.........if they say this...don't do it! Otherwise then you are wasting time and money for the blood work. Chances are you will not get the correct results.

Gift Cards

Think again before buying one as a gift. Many places are going out of business and you will have no claim on that gift card if a company files for bankruptcy. I feel certain Walmart will be around...maybe this year give a present with cash!

When We Fill Empty

Many times when a person feels empty.......it is because of the sin they are in. Here are some scriptures to help you! Spend time with JESUS....confess your sin.....and obey the word of God. Jesus is our only way to true freedom.

Psalm 51:8-12
Psalm 25:16-19
Psalm 25:21
2 Cornithians 7:6

I want to again thank my sister Debbie for helping me set up this blog! Thank you my dear! Love you!

I love monogrammed things........for yourself or a gift....pick up some nice hand towels and have them monogrammed.......buy a pretty scarf for winter and have it monogrammed......your pillow cases....a robe......give a gift certificate to someone from a place that monograms.......most people don't spend money on monograms and this will be a very special treat!

Pick up a nice jar and fill with Jelly Belly's or nuts and give as a gift! This is great for someone that has everything or that is picky..make sure they can have sugar.

For the cook...give a basket of spices and add pretty paper napkins.....or give gifts of cocoa....be sure when you give beverage gifts add some pretty paper beverage napkins....I love that.......and I buy them at Tuesday Morning....people think I am so hard to buy for but they don't really look at what I use........I love a gift of pretty paper napkins that are really special. I have some that I won't use until a wonderful time....they look like lace and are so pretty and they are made of paper. It will be a treat for me to use them.

My sister kim's father in law has a great idea for gift giving.....for someone on a fixed income or a single parent.......I love this. He gets a laundry tub.........and fills with toilet tissue, paper towels, tissue in box, cleaning supplies, washing soap, dish soap, hand soap, clorex wipes, and the list goes on. I think he ties a nice big bow somewhere..I would.......these things cost so much and it will be a treat for someone on a fixed income or single mom.......students, etc.

Decorating Tips for Table and Home

What a great time of year to invite friends over for just dessert and coffee or hot cocoa with whipping cream. Set up your table with fun things to eat........I used to love having just dessert parties.......bring out pretty glassware to use for your sweets. Place Biscotti in pretty tall glasses...you can place the glasses on a tea saucer with a paper doily. Put cookies in pretty boxes with doily's.......line them up in rows. If you have glassware with a dome.....place cookies or candies in those too. Be sure and make the Truffle recipe I have below........that would be pretty in the dome glasswear. Use a decorative tin and place your sweet treats......making sure you have pretty napkins or doily's to use inside the tin or container.......You can use small buckets and place in pretty fabric and place cookies or apples........each person coming can bring a sweet.....or keep it simple with them bringing just cookies and you make the Truffles and provide the coffee and hot cocoa and always make sure you have whipping cream........just a bit of vanilla is great in coffee........I also use whipping cream to top off my coffee. Use pretty beverage napkins that you can pick up at Tuesday Morning for about $1.49 or $1.99.......Have you friends bring a friend.....this is fun for 4 people or more!

I love to take orange peels and cinnamon with water and heat slowly on my stove.....the scent is refreshing and beautiful and costs a lot less than things you buy in the store. I pick up cinnamon for around 70 cents and add water and heat on my stove and my home really smells nice. It will also get you in the mood for winter to come.

Truffles

2 1/2 package (20 squares) Bakers semi-sweet Chocolate, divided
1 package (8 oz.) cream cheese, softened

Melt 8 chocolate squares. Beat cream cheese with mixer until creamy; stir in melted chocolate. Refrigerate until firm. Shape into 36 balls. Place on wax paper-covered tray. Melt remaining chocolate. Use fork to dip truffles; return to tray. You can decorate using finely chopped cocktail peanuts or sprinkles.........or coat truffles with powdered sugar or unsweetened cocoa powder instead of dipping in chocolate and then refrigerate 1 hour!

This makes a really nice gift placed in a pretty glass container or tin.......use ribbon to finish the truffles on the container you choose. 3 dozen

I did not vote for Obama because I am PRO LIFE........but I do respect this man and family. I pray that each of you will keep our New President Obama in your prayers. I am praying that JESUS will guide him and that he and his family will be respected and be able to do his job and that he and his family will be safe. He is our new leader and I respect him. For the african american....I am so glad that you are a witness to a leader from your race.....I know this has been a dream for so long and that Megar Evers (sp) did not die in vain or Martin Luther King and all that lost their lives to mean people. That all in the world will know that dreams do come true. I also pray that people are not against colors of the skin....JESUS loves everyone and he died for us all so that we can be forgiven and saved. I hope that all look at our new president with fresh eyes. For any white person that believes only white people are going to heaven.......I challenge you to get on your knees and follow JESUS.....there will be all races in heaven. If you think only the white people are going to be there........then I don't believe you will even make it in to heaven. Love is not conditional.........not real love.....the love that counts.

Disolve gelatin in 2 cups boiling water until clear
Add 1/2 cups mayonnaise and mix well
Add 1 small canned milk
Add 1 small can crushed pineapple
Add 1 pint cottage cheese
Add 1 cup of pecans

Place in 9x12 pan or pyrex dish and place in refrigerator. Cut in squares to serve. Add cool whip or cream if desired. May be served alone or with salad greens.

Thanksgiving

We are so close to the end of the year....it has been a fast one. If we are saved we know to give JESUS "Thank yous" each day. For those of you who do not.......I hope you take the time each day to raise your hands and give praise to our savior Jesus Christ! If you start right now in this month of Thanksgiving for the USA........I do believe you will start a habit to give thanks all the time for everythingin your life and we are to even praise him in our sad times and times of trouble knowing that JESUS will cover us. I met a lady yesterday that was so weary.......hurt and felt broken........I know GOD put us together. She came to our church KidsFest.... I was opening clear bags so the cotton candy could be sealed.........her precious children came and I felt she needed prayer..........we started conversation and then I could see the exhaustion and sadness in her life........she is saved.........praise the Lord...if I never see her again I will see her in heaven..."We will know as we were known".......that is a promise from our Lord. We prayed and I know God is going to do something wonderful in her life.......please say a prayer for Angelia.......that she will be refreshed physically....she has no family.......and she is raising her two kids alone........her mother is states away and very sick.........I know JESUS is with her and she will be better. I suggested that she make a list of everything.......everything she is thankful for in her life.......and give JESUS the praise for all he has done for her. I am also suggesting to each of you to make a list of all your blessings........because we both prayed together JESUS was in the midst of us. Jesus loves us so much he does not leave us. I pray that during the month of November you will give JESUS praise for all your blessings and that your praise and thanksgiving will last each day for the rest of your life..............Have fun this month and if you are going to be alone on Thanksgiving........go visit those who have no one........and you will have a great day!

Always turn your blue jeans inside out to wash....and wash in cold water. Never use bleach.....you can mix with other dark clothes.....air dry and turn right side out........you can use a bit of vinegar to keep the color in.

Hair styles are outdated if they are a complicated style. Go for soft and natural free flowing....I have my hair cut one length and parted on the side right at the base of my neck....I can wear this style another 50 years!

Great curls are best on women with long hair, per me! I also prefer my hair cut when I have dry hair.......then you can see the exact style.....when our hair is wet....it is a bit longer. This should also save you $$ buy not having to wash your hair in the salon.

Viruses that cause colds and the flu stay in the air for two hours but can linger on surfaces for up to 72 hours.

If you are congested and have a slight fever, you may be suffering from a cold. A cough, aches, and exhaustion and higher fever usually means you have the flu.

These tips are from ALL YOU and me!

The older you get, the happier you are. About 50% of people in their 80's are very happy, but only 33% of 18 year olds say the same. I believe its due to the fact that as we age and mature we see what life is really about.........Jesus, love, family, friends, etc. We are not in a race to conquer life.....we have lived it.

If you have to have help with hormones........Praise JESUS I do not....here is a number for a free sample of Remifemin......allyou.remifemin.com (While suppliese last.)

Make sandwiches fun or pretty by using cookie cutters to cut out the cheese........

Use a pumpkin to make a pretty center piece for your Thanksgiving meal........cut off the top and add mums...........be sure to clean out the pumpkin.

Search for beautiful brooches and place in design to one side of your lamp shade.
"I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety".
~~Psalm 4:8

"Listen to my cry for help, my KING and my GOD, for to you I pray. In the morning, O Lord, you hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait in expectation".
~~Psalm 5:2-3

Being Saved

Saved is not a feeling.........being saved is following Romans 10:9-13 and having faith that moment you asked JESUS into your heart and the forgiveness of your sins and you are following him. When you have at times in your life felt unsaved and doubt that you are saved after being saved........REMEMBER Saved is not a feeling. I was born again in the summer of 2001.......I had backsliden.......and in 2001 I was sick and tired of being in sin.....so I fully surrendered to JESUS CHRIST...giving him my life........and Praise JESUS I am still strong in the Lord and getting stronger each day. There have been times since 2001 that I felt unsaved.......due to a cuss word or a thought or not feeling like I could pray..........I have found many people have felt this way........Believe me when I tell you saved is not a feeling. Ask for forgiveness of your sin and press on to JESUS.......there will be days we feel very saved and days we may feel like we have lost our luster to JESUS.......talk to him, he forgives and will give you direction. Know that JESUS loves you. Read the word and draw closer to JESUS........he is wanting all of us to give him time each day. Blessings to each of you.

Scripture for Today

"Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In everything give thanks: for this is the will of GOD in CHRIST JESUS concerning you". ~~~I Thessalonians 5:16-18

"There is therefore now NO condemnation to them which are in CHRIST JESUS, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit".~~~Romans 8:1

Sexual Sin

My life could be a movie as most of our testimonies can. I was listening to Carolyn Pankalla on VTN one day and she was talking about her life and her new CD....Broken Into Beautiful. I wish I had thought of that sentence. Check out her website.........www.carolynpankalla.com. So I am calling my testimony Broken into Beautiful.....one day I will share with you my testimonies. I have many........and JESUS receives all the glory and honor.

Today I want to talk on sexual sin and I have many notes and scriptures I will be sharing. Since I re-dedicated my life to JESUS in the summer of 2001........I stand on this scripture. "Come now and let us reason together, says the Lord......"though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool". ~Isaiah 1:18.

As sinners and when we become saved we are broken into beautiful. How precious our Lord is.........Jesus Christ who will always give us a way out before we sin. Have you noticed that as you think back on your past sins or the sin you are in now. It is our choice to sin........I know people can somewhat force us in a verbal matter or sometimes physical.....God can turn everything around for us...but we still have a choice......what satan meant for bad JESUS gives us good from it. Being alone can be very sad and I tell you I have had many years of being alone. In human form I am alone now, but I serve God and he gives me joy. This will be another story I will share with you one day.

Sexual sin is wrong.....we are harming our bodies. I want women and men to know of all ages that the Lord will forgive your sexual sin. We will be forgiven but we have to stop doing it. If you are pure........Praise the Lord......if you are not pure even if you are 16 or 56.......God will forgive you and you can be pure again sexually. I have been pure since 2001. I am 51. I have asked Jesus to forgive me and I am forgiven but I stopped the sin of sex. I am proud of my body and I am so proud that I am not in bondage due to the sexual sins I was comitting. I am free....I am forgiven in JESUS name. Some people call it Second Virgin........well that does not fit me.......I am PURE again.........I serve JESUS Christ our Lord and Master our King.......our Savior and I am free from that bondage of sin. Jesus is with me and you everyday.........PSALM 139:17,18 "How precious to me are your thoughts, O God! Were I to count them, they would out number the grains of sand. When I awake, I am still with you". No one thinks about you as much as GOD.........no lover or husband or family member.........this is such a great scripture........YOU are loved by almighty GOD. If you are in sexual sin..........ask JESUS to forgive you help you not to commit that sin again. Pray the Lord will put a Godly man/woman in your path and you can share a relationship with her/him and both serve JESUS.......Save yourself for your marriage and if you are engaged now.....stop the sex until you are married.........you both will have more respect for each other. I pray that each of you will have a relationship that you both serve JESUS.........(Romans 10:9-13). Then your marriage will be blessed.......be sure to stop and confess your sin and ask Jesus into your heart. Romans 10:9-13 will tell you how.

Even people that don't believe in GOD have surveys that show if a couple stays pure before marriage, they will have a 98% chance of having a great marriage and a long one until death do you part. You should know the Holy Bible is the word of GOD and is true now and has always been true and yes........the old testament is true and goes along with today.

Premartial sex is repeatedly condemned in scritpure. Acts 15:20, Romans 1:29, 1 Cornithians 5:1, 6, 13, 18, 7:2, 10:8, 2 Cornithians 12:21, Galations 5:19, Eph: 5:3, Colossians 3 (this chapter also shows you rules for holy living.), 1Thess. 4:3, Jude 7...........I will have more to follow.

God only approves of sex between a husband and wife. This is the only sexual relations GOD aproves of.......Hebrews 13:14. God does not want to rob us of sexual pleasure...he created it........but to protect us of all the consequences sex before marriage brings.

God said sex outside marriage is immoral: Matthew 15:19, I Cornithians 6:9, 6:13, 7:2, 2 Corinthians 12:21, Galations 5:19, Eph: 5:3.........

Anyone who has made the mistake of having sex outside marriage can be forgiven in JESUS name. Even if the mistakes result in pregnancy and illegitimate birth.......see I John 1:9. When we commit a sin the first time, the Holy Spirit hits us like a brick...the impact is enormous and gets our attention. If we continue in our sins and keep them alive.......soon the impact of the Holy Spirit is diminished. Eventually we are not even noticing the sins we commit. The more we sin, the easier it is to sin........a person will become so desensitized that they don't even know the Holy Spirit is around. You do not want your life to become like that. It will be horrible.

"Father please, help me to respond positively the first time the Holy Spirit impacts my conscience.........In JESUS name, amen." Say this prayer each day.

Moving in together.....as a couple.......not married.......in hopes to marry........seeing this as a good test run.....you do not test if its true love..........you are to have a courtship with you boyfriend/girlfriend. Not play marriage........I don't care if its to save money.....it will not work.......You are disrepecting each other and if the man insists he is disrespecting you as a woman. If he loved you....he would marry you and set a date and not touch you until the wedding night and trust me ladies........if he does touch you before marriage he will not respect you and I believe that is why men in anger come back on their wives and talked to them with disrespect.......they can't respect you.........you gave in too easy........I don't care if he pushes you....then walk away from him.....It will NOT make him love you more..........no matter what they say........When you love your brother or sister or child and see them run across the road with a car coming.....you yell and scream and say STOP DO NOT GO ACROSS THE STREET and you grab them trying to protect them.........our Heavenly Father knows the outcome of these things and sins, he wants his plan for our life.......and it is better than our plans. God's guidence is for our protection........sexual sin causes diseases, some that can't be with you for life unless God heals you and he can.

{Remember satan the evil one and his demons never shows us the outcome to sin~~if he did.......no one would want to sin.} No one would subject themselvea to such sorrow, pain and torment. The evil one makes sin look so attractive and so much fun...for a seaon.....the evil one, satan is a thief and liar....anda manulpliator.........our eyes get clouded trying to keep up with others and feel accepted. I promise you...every girl that has had sex before marriage is so sorry they did not wait until marriage and they should tell you the guy lost respect for her........he does not want to marry her.....he wants a good girl really. Most men like girls like their mothers. Then the emptyness you feel........can be hard to bare. Funny thing about satan he nags you to sin and then after you sin you are tormented. Then he goes to God and tattletales on you. Praise JESUS we have a savior that loves us and will forgive us and has mercy on us. Do not believe the lies of the devil. You can be forgiven on this sin.....be it with a married man or single man.....you can be pure again. DO NOT MAKE A PERMANANT DECISION ON A TEMPORARY SITUATION.....so many of us do this.....and then we have to pay the price. A price that costs us more than we want to pay.

Jesus leads and is gentle. The devil pushes.....and rushes us.

Facts about premartial sex: Women who lived with a man before getting married are three times more likely to cheat on their husbands. Couples who live together and marry were less sexually satisfied. Living together is not a promise to being happy. From the book "Do You Really Love Me~~Jason Evert

A jealous boyfriend becomes a controlling man. Never marry on these reasons: I am tired of being alone........I am tired of being poor and doing without........I am tired of living with my family.........it will not work. Your relationship and marriage needs to follow the word of God.

When you start a relationship at any age.....you need a checklist of what you want in a man. I pray the top of the list is a man that serves JESUS and is filled with the Holy Ghost........do not settle for anyone less than what is on your list. I know of a lady that just got married and she is 31....still a virgin and is a Christian......she made a list long ago and did not part from that list and YES JESUS gave her a wonderful man and he is everything on her list. Even if you have sin with sex you can start fresh and make a list...........Purity is self-confidence. You will love yourself more and not make the mistakes you would if you keep living in sexual sin. I have never dated teh right man or married the right man. I am fine being alone. I know some of you are not at this point in your life and you are running and dating trying to find a husband but please do not rush into this.......you want a man that GOD sends to you.........God gives the best of gifts........do not settle for less and you are worth more than you think you are. I am sure I will be writing more on this.......for now........I hope you will read and trust what I say and start living the way God wants you to live. Read Colossians Chapter 3 & 4........

The Cross

When the evil one (satan) comes at you.....stand strong.......he was defeated at the cross. He has no power over you at all. Jesus will cover you. You bind the evil one out loud in JESUS name. This is what I say out loud when the evil one tries to discourage me...........IN JESUS NAME, satan I bind you and your demons to the pits of hell where you belong..........you have no power over me and my family due to the blood of JESUS Christ, you are to flee now...In JESUS NAME, Amen. He is under you feet.......send him away.........you have that authority. So when evil comes against you or sickness......send it to hell. To be saved and enter heaven....see Romans 10:9-13. Ask JESUS into your heart........tell him you are sorry for your sins.......you can name them and you can also say all of them.......believe that JESUS died on the cross for you sins and ask him into your heart. Believe in the Father, Son and Holy Ghost and believe that JESUS died on the cross for you and all and that he was raised from the dead on the third day! YOU ARE SAVED and your name is in the Lamb's Book of Life.........then remember you are now different and give up your old ways. I love Colossians chapter 3.......Rules for Holy living. Read the word........and a student bible is great for a newly saved person. You will be able to understand the scriptures better. JESUS loves you and when you become saved the Angels sing and praise the Lord.........

Do not forget to go to the yard sales.......I found a beautiful vase for 25 cents and I love it.....I may use this vase to fill with Hershey Kisses or some kind of candy and give as a birthday gift or hostess gift........I have to get out and go to these each week.

The day is not over....raise your hands and worship JESUS for who he is and thank him today for all of your blessings seen and unseen. He loves us and wants us to talk to him.

Tips

Here are things I found in All You and Woman's World to share. Many women are so busy they don't have time to read and find tips.......so I hope you enjoy and can use these.

*Baby shampoo~~use to wash your makeup brushes.......I have also used gentle soap.....or all natural cleaning soaps.
*Cotton swabs~~keep a few Q-tips in the bottom of our cosmetic bag~~they will absorb spills and powders.
*Toothbrushes~~I use to clean around my sinks..also great for scraping offyour eyelash curler. Be very careful with eyelash curlers not to brake off and damage you lashes. I quit using mine about 25 years ago.
*My friend was told by her hair stylist that you have to make sure your cut matches your face. i.e. if you have a large nose then don't wear your hair in a cut that stops at your jaw law. Your nose will appear even bigger. I did not know that.......so make sure you really research your next new doo.
*A lady told me a few days ago.......chicken soup and broth is for colds and flu........if you are sick to your stomach you need a beef broth.......or beef veggie soup. That makes so much sense....no wonder when my stomach was upset the chicken broth or soup did nothing for me........Keep beef broth in your cabinets.
*If you are congested and have a slight fever, that is probably a cold. A cough, aches, exhaustion and higher fever usually means the flu.
*Feed a fever and starve a cold~~WRONG....if you feel up to it, you should eat. Your immune system is already weakened, eating right is essential to fighting off an infection.
*Going outside with a wet head will not make you sick. You have to be exposed to an actual virus in order to get a cold. Nevertheless....step outside with dry hair; the stress of getting chilled can take a toll on your immune system. I have to get something to go over my head.
*Make hamburgers fun by using cookie cutters to cut your cheese slices and add to burger.
*Toast some chopped walnuts, almonds, pecans or coconut (unsweetened) and add to your favorite pancake or waffle or muffin batter.
*Try chopped hazelnuts in your brownie mix, ground almonds in pie crust. Try sliced almonds with green beans, pecans in rice pilaf or pine nuts with broccoli. Yummy!
*If strawberries are out of season, make your salads with dried cherries or dried cranberries.
*Homemade granola makes a nice hostess gift in you place in a jar with beautiful ribbons.
*Slipcover for sofa, being freshly washed, place back on the sofa while its slightly damp....very little damp and it will mold to the right size of the sofa.
*Add flowers to a nice toothbrush holder putting the flowers in the holes.....pretty instant flower vase.
*Study shows that people spend 12-18% more when paying with a credit card than they do when spending cash. Here is a simple way to save money on each purchase. Put that savings in your piggy bank.
*Don't carry a lot of cash with you.....and don't use your credit or debt cards. Make a budget of your spending.
*If you take your care in for regular tune-ups, you will improve your gas mileage by up to 40%.
*I save my change.....if something cost $1.02 I give $2 and then save the change. That is how I have my hair styled. Next year I will be saving my change for one year and see how much I mount up.
*You can go to (catalogchoice.org) and unsubscribe from the catalogs you don't need. This will stop a lot of clutter for you.
*Drive 10 miles slower and you will increase your fuel efficiency by around 15%.
*Before making a purchase make sure you really want or need it. Go home and wait 24-48 hours and if you really still want it and can afford it then go buy it. One time I found beautiful rose stain glass night lights on HSN.com and was really trying to watch my money.......they were over half off and you got two........to this day..........I still want those and it has been 3 years. I should have bought them.
*Look at Sam's for coats and jackets and tops for women and men. I badly needed a lined coat for the Spring and Fall and found a London Fog coat that was lined.......for use in Spring andFall in black for $21.83...at Macy's it was $99 or $129........what a deal. (Victoria)
*If you have to drink out of a plastic water bottle.....turn upside down and if you see a triangle and 7........you have a bottle containing BPA.......don't drink from it.
*Don't boil and put into plastics. The containers made with BPA release a substance 55 times faster when filled with very hot water or soups, etc.
* Plastic wrap does not contain BPA but it does contain other chemicals that could be released if exposed to heat. I love frozen food by Cedar Lane and Amy's. They have their food in paper cartons but I still do not heat the plastic that cover it..I remove and put on a plate when I microwave and don't like using a microwave either.....I sure don't stand near on when its on.
*Only use pastic bottles with the number 2 on it. Ones made of Opaque.....the light weight bottles that most drinking water is in at the grocery store are BPA free, but don't reuse them at all.
*Ask your favorite store when they mark down. Some store start marking down on Saturday night.

The Revival

I am going to continue on with the most wonderful, uplifting revival I have ever heard. I spoke about it in September. Here are my notes on the revival September 21-24, 2008. Pastor Gorman talked about healing and forgiveness. He said they are tied together and they of course are. Every word Pastor Gorman preaches about is truth in the bible. How wonderful to hear a pastor preach the totally complete gospel. My notes are as follows. Destroy means to pulverize.....JESUS came to pulverize satan and the demonic works. Read Mark 2:1........Sickness is a result of the fall of man. Jesus came and died for us to bring back what Adam took from us! That is a powerful statement........Praise JESUS. We don't have to go through steps to be healed. Healing is a gift. Sickness is a result of sin. Faith releases sickness in our life. Many suffering from arthritis~~they have unforgiveness in them. Doctors have been saying lately that anger causes so many issues in our body and think about it........an angry person is frowning, saying ugly things, hold bitterness, unforgiveness. their body is in constant turmoil........they are unhappy........I can't think of all the things right now, I feel like they will come to me.........that is a strain on our body........I know some people right now with horrible arthritis and they are very unforgiving people; they have it out with family members and children.........one day the Lord is going to allow me to talk to one of them for sure about her needing to forgive.........it has lasted for years. Jesus says to forgive and you will be forgiven. Unforgiveness is like a disease (Victoria), and I do believe it attacks the body.

God wants us to live in forgiveness. Pastor Gorman had us do an exercise.........if you are right handed open you left hand and take you right hand fingers and place the persons name in the palm of the left hand and keep tapping that palm with names of people you have not forgiven or that have hurt you..........he prayed a prayer with us for forgiveness and then asked us to pray a pray of blessing for them.......the ones that have hurt us.........when we forgiven the person that has done harm to usw..........give them to God and bless them.....THEN, JESUS can work with them.........changing their life..........but we have to forgive. I promise you will feel better. I don't want anything I do to hinder my blessings and health.

He also added the Holy Bible says that when we tithe and sow a seed God promises that our return will be 30%, 60% or 100%. I pray that you give from your heart and not to get something back........I pray you want to give because God has asked us to.......see Malachi 3:8-11........

When we are saved we are God's children and we are guaranteed to be in GOD'S ECONOMY! Do not fear what is going on in Wall Street and where you live.......if you are saved (Romans 10:9-13) and tithe to God.........you will be fine during this time........GOD will take care of us........that is his promise to us. So don't worry but be wise in your spending. Saving........but always always tithe first and sow seeds.......where JESUS leads you. I will be at a later time giving you scriptures about the rapture of the church.
